BIOGRAPHY

Elif Belgen graduated from Beykent University - Fine Of Faculity Art, Cinema and Television in Istanbul/Turkey, 2018. She has entered the film industry in 2015 as a post-production assistant on advertising projects in Turkey. She continued her career as an assistant director on feature films and series for digital platforms such as Netflix, Disney, and BluTV, as well as on advertising projects and independent productions. Some of the projects she contributed to have received awards in directing, screenplay, and cinematography categories: the short film Ablam won Best Short Film at the Akbank Short Film Festival, the independent feature film Yurt received Best Screenplay in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival, and it earned Best Cinematography at the Istanbul Film Festival National Competition. Additionally, several advertising films she worked on were recognized at Turkey’s Kristal Elma Advertising Awards.
Today, she applies the creative and professional experience gained on set to writing and directing her own projects.
